Ok, so here's the fun part - butter heads. I know... 90lbs of butter carved into the likeness of a dairy farmer's daughter is a little bizarre - but it's a dream come true for them (including myself). I still have mine in my parent's freezer. I'm kind of hoping my daughter will compete in 20 years and we can pose our 'heads' together. We have to dream big, right? Princess Kay of the Milky Way 2033!

Me and my family work hard all year round to be able to show off the livestock we have raised and advertise the products that we offer. Yes, of course I love all of the food! My favorite would have to be the Australian Potatoes with ranch :)

August 9, 2013 at 12:27 PMLove the Arts-In shows as well! I was in for 2 years after I finished my tenure as a 4-H State Ambassador and it's an amazing program. It's my youngest brother's last year as an artsie, so even more reason for me to go see the show.
August 13, 2013 at 7:51 PMSince I'm going on the first Friday, I have to see the rabbits. I showed rabbits there every year I could. I also always get a strawberry malt from the Dairy Building.
Love the state fair! The best part is sitting on the showboxes talking with friends you only get to see a few times a year and eating Donna's ribs!!
